About Dr.Edi
Dr. Edi Loaiza’s journey with a pair of scissors began at age 10, a passion sparked in his mother’s bustling hairdressing salon in Colombia. As a kid, Edi sold meatballs on street corners from age seven to support his family. That same drive carried him across the world in 2014 when he made Australia his home. A qualified doctor in Colombia, Edi faced the challenge of having his credentials recognized in Australia. While navigating this transition, he returned to his roots—barbering. For him, it was more than a job; it was a "bridge to a new life."
Years later, while working at Launceston General Hospital, Edi crossed paths with Dr. Philip Tan, a urologist with a shared vision. Together, they dreamed of a space where men could feel cared for—inside and out. That dream became Dr Edi’s, a barbershop that goes beyond a fresh cut. Here, we’re dedicated to helping men look good and feel good, blending expert grooming with a focus on men’s health. From the chair to Dr Edi's online clinic, we’re reinventing what it means to take care of yourself.
